C'mon, who doesn't like a little head?
 (2011) ***

A boy is brought into the police station after his girlfriend is beheaded. There are no signs of forced entry, the door was locked and only the boys fingerprints are on the scene yet he insists it wasn’t him, it was a man with a shadowed face. The police don’t believe him until the man shows up at the station holding the girl’s head. He introduces himself as Inkubus and claims to be centuries old. He says he has unfinished business with the now retired Detective Diamante. Diamante says Inkubus is dead so he comes to the station to find out what is going on. This is when Inkubus starts to have his fun messing with the minds of the skeleton crew at the police station, killing them off one by one.

Isn't it great to see Robert Englund having so much fun.

This was the film they were promoting last year at Rock n Shock, it stars Robert Englund, William Forsythe, Johnathan Silverman and Joey Fatone. I was hoping it would pack a little more punch than it did. Englund does a fine job as the mysterious and evil Inkubus but the film as a whole is pretty predictable. Whether the slasher is doing the deed or using mind tricks, what it all boils down to is its still just another slasher film. These films are in such abundance that to work they either have to make it fun and amusing or go the extra mile and do something really different to make it scary. This film does neither, I’m not saying it was bad but it was average and sometimes that can be worse.
