Here's the description according to TMC: "Professor's Assistant has snakes for hair." That really does sum it up. Village people (not The Village People) are turning to stone as there is a rogue Medusa on the loose.
Those six words were enough for me to spend 1 hr 23 minutes watching this to contribute to Horrorthon. I'd never seen a Hammer Films movie, but I'd read about the popularity as the leader of British horror for decades. I understand the appeal. It has all the style of a 1930s Universal horror film, but with some added gore and special effects. Intact are numerous shots of the moon, coming out of the clouds.
Worth a try if you're alone and have TMC.
